Methodology, sources and corrections

A useful profile must be traceable, complete and easy to correct.

Our collection pipeline

  1. Official geography

    The municipality, region and RCM list comes from the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation directory published through Données Québec.

  2. Brave Place Search

    One French query per municipality is tried first. English, excavation and landscaping variants are used only when no complete result is found.

  3. Quality control and deduplication

    Clearly non-Quebec locations, public agencies and results without a valid phone are excluded. A complete address is optional. Address, phone, website domain and normalized identity are used for matching.

  4. Publication and correction

    A business name and valid phone are sufficient to publish a relevant listing. Publication is not a certification of services. A business may request a correction or removal.

What we retain

The CRM retains only useful derived profile facts—name, phone, address, website, city, coordinates, synthesized categories, verification date and source URL. Raw API responses and temporary Brave identifiers are not retained.

The financial ledger reserves cost before each request and prevents the configured global cap from being exceeded.

Limits and responsibility

Directory presence is not a certification or endorsement. Services, insurance, availability, pricing and territories change; customers must confirm them directly.
